Available for check-out from the Access Services Department at Lehman Library Circulation Desk are:

Available for check-out from the Luhrs Library Circulation Desk are:

Borrowing Policies

Equipment is for class projects, presentations, and conferences. Due to high demand, borrowing time is limited to short-term usage of 3 days for Luhrs equipment and 7 days for Lehman equipment. Please contact the Lehman Library Access Services Department at ext. 1465, Luhrs Library at ext. 1003, or email to libmedia@ship.edu if more time is required.

Requesting walkin-pickup equipment

Equipment may be requested by using the online request form or stopping at the Lehman Library or Luhrs Library Circulation Desk. Requests are on a first-come, first-served basis. It is recommended that reservations be made at least 24 hours in advance using the online request form. When placing a request online, you will receive email messages regarding the status of your request.


Core hours for Fall & Spring Semesters
Lehman Library walkin/pickup hours are
  • Sunday 11:00 am - 11:30 pm
  • Monday-Thursday 7:30 am - 11:30 pm
  • Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • Saturday 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Luhrs Library walkin/pickup hours are
  • Monday 7:30 am – 8:30 pm.
  • Tuesday-Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm.

Student ID

A valid SU ID will be required at time of pick up. Patrons with outstanding fines/fees will be blocked from borrowing equipment. All fines/fees must be cleared before borrowing media equipment.


User's Guides

User’s guides are available for some equipment, however, first time borrowers are encouraged to ask for assistance with training on any equipment by contacting the InfoTech Help Desk at ext. 3546 to set up an appointment.

Supplies

Borrowers must provide their own supplies such as disks, film and tapes.

User responsibilities

SECURITY:    I agree that I will be responsible for the care, use, and return of all equipment and its components. I also agree that I will return the equipment before or on the date due. I agree that the equipment will not be used by others unless special arrangements have been made with the Media Equipment staff in the Access Services Department of Ezra Lehman Library or the Luhrs Library staff. I also agree that I will immediately contact the Media Equipment staff if the equipment is lost or stolen. I understand that unreturned equipment will be reported as stolen and the information will be turned over to the University Police for recovery. I agree that equipment will be in my possession at all times and will not be transported as checked luggage on public transportation.

FINES/FEE:    If the equipment is not returned, or is damaged, I understand that Shippensburg University may place a hold on my Academic Records, and/or bill me for the cost of repair or replacement. Also, I agree to pay a late charge of $15.00 per day for each day that the equipment is not returned, past the return date.
